BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Colonel William C Oates leads his Confederate 15th Alabama Infantry Regiment up the slopes of Little Round Top to trey to out-flank of the Union army on the second day of fighting at the Battle of Gettysburg. Even though his brother is killed, he repeatedly attacks! In this sweltering July heat many of his men have no water with them, their canteens having been captured by Union soldiers whilst being sent to be re-filled at a stream. 15th Alabama comes face to face with Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain's 20th Maine, in a brutal duel of musketry. The Union soldiers would eventually beat back the rebel assault with a bayonet charge led by Colonel Chamberlain himself (this fighting is promentantly portrayed in the movie "Gettysburg" based on the novel "Killer Angels").
